RTS was founded in 1984 and the company has grown from strength to strength for over 30 years. We operate from our purpose built head office in Crieff and our additional offices located in Hexham, Inverness and Aboyne. 
Our woodfuel production facilities are based in Crieff and Glasgow with satellite storage locations nationwide.

Managing Director Norman O’Neill

Norman O’Neill has 30 years’ experience in forest management following graduation from Aberdeen University in 1981. Norman joined the company in 1999, was promoted to Director in 2004 and was appointed Managing Director in 2017. Norman has direct responsibility for RTS consultancy and the biomass division. He retains the role as the main contact for a number of key clients.

 Director Harry Wilson


With 30 years of forest management experience following graduation from Aberdeen University, Harry joined RTS Forestry in 2004. His responsibilities include the management of a number of high profile woodland estates and investment portfolios under the RTS forestry's remit. In addition, he is the director with overall management control of the companies activities in NE Scotland.

       Director Ross Kennedy


Following graduation from Aberdeen University, and a period with the Forestry Commission, Ross spent a year practicing forestry in New Zealand before his return to Britain and joining RTS Forestry in 2005. He was appointed as the Harvesting & Marketing manager in 2007, then as director in 2011.

Ross leads the companies infrastructure division working closely with a range of clients in the renewable energy sector.
